BUOYANCY FOAM FOR DIVING BELLS

Reliable buoyancy for human presence underwater

Lightweight safety for diving bells

Diving bells require materials that offer not only flotation but also excellent insulation properties, long-term safety and structural assurance. Diab’s closed-cell PVC foams are designed to perform under pressure, delivering consistent buoyancy, excellent creep resistance, and high resistance to water absorption, all of which are vital when human lives are involved.

The materials are easy to shape and finish, ensuring perfect integration into complex bell designs while providing superior insulation and toughness. Trusted in critical operations, Diab helps make every dive a safe return.

For operations beyond 700 meters, all the way down to the seabed, we offer tailor-made buoyancy systems in syntactic foam through Subsea Composite Solutions, a dedicated division within Diab.

FAQ about diving bell buoyancy solutions

What materials does Diab recommend for diving bells?

Closed-cell PVC foams engineered for buoyancy and structural sandwich use in diving bell applications.

How do these foams enhance safety and performance?

They provide consistent buoyancy, excellent creep resistance, and very low water absorption—critical for long-term safety when humans are onboard.

Do the materials aid thermal and acoustic insulation?

Yes. They deliver superior insulation and toughness, helping maintain comfort and reliability under pressure.

Are there solutions for ultra-deep operations?

For depths beyond 700 meters down to the seabed, Diab (via Subsea Composite Solutions) offers tailor-made syntactic foam buoyancy systems.
