Divinycell – Thermoplastic, recycled and recyclable PET foam core materials suitable for many applications
The Diab PET foam core portfolio is suitable for a wide range of applications. Divinycell PET can be processed with most common manufacturing methods including closed moulding such as RTM and infusion, and at elevated temperature processing with prepreg.
The thermoplastic Divinycell PET foam core series comes in several grades, all using recycled PET plastics for a circular approach, reducing carbon footprint and saving environment.
PET foam core material can be made from different raw material base, PET from post-industry and post-consumer recycling. We at Diab use both types for best performance of the product and the demand of the product in the final application.
Divinycell PR is a recyclable sandwich core, based on post-consumer PET combined with post-industrial PET to enhance
performance. Designed as a circular solution, it meets modern environmental demands while delivering reliable mechanical properties. With good compression and shear performance,
high dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, and low resin uptake, Divinycell PR ensures strength, durability, and processing efficiency across a wide range of applications.
Our high performance Divinycell PL has been developed with the aim of optimizing PET cored composite structures. Based on post-industry recycled PET providing excellent mechanical properties and very low resin uptake helping customers achieve weight reduction and overall cost reduction of components without surface treatment, while ensuring reliable and strong peel strength.
Divinycell PA is a fully recyclable, cost-effective PET foam core
developed for semi-structural sandwich composite applications
in automotive, mobility, industrial, and construction markets.
Other typical features of latest Diab PET foam core grades are good temperature resistance and inherent insulation properties. The higher density range is suitable for replacing wood since having closed cells and very good screw retention.
Divinycell PET can be treated with all Diab standard finishing options and supplied as pre-cut kitted foam.
FAQ about PET foam core materials
What is Divinycell PET foam core?
